Research And Realization Of12KV Outdoor Permanent Magnetic Intelligent Vacuum Circuit Breaker

With the development of computer technology, sensor technology, networkcommunication technology and the increasing of operation requirements powerdistribution network of electrical power system, the apparatus with single functionshows its inconvenience in the daily application. As a result, it is necessary to developan intelligent integrative switch to make electric distribution network much safer andeasily used. Based on the ideology, the working principle of vacuum circuit breaker ofsingle state and dual-coil permanent magnetic operation structure is deeply researched.A kind of12KV outdoor permanent magnet vacuum circuit breaker with single state anddual coils is developed.The circuit breaker is designed with disconnecting switch to realize interlock.The functions of detection, controlling, protection and communication is designed withmodular designing idea. The VCB is equipped with such detection circuits: capacitancecharging, remote control, capacitive voltage, line voltage and three-phase currentdetection, the driving circuit of closing and breaking coils, absorbing circuit of back emf,detecting circuit of operation structure’s position are given with the concept of modulardesign. Meanwhile it has the protective functions for the faults and it can be remotelymonitored with PC through GPRS.The experiments shows that the circuit breaker can be used in urban distributionnetwork to break and close the load current or short circuit current or as the outdoorsubstation outlet switch of farm-oriented distribution system with stable operation andperfect functions. The functions of measurement and protection and communicationdesigned in the circuit breaker can fully meet the requirements for the automation ofpower distribution system.
