With the development of science and technology, the traditional circuit-breaker in terms ofremote data transmission, intelligent control and reliability cannot satisfy the development on therequirements of automatic control on eletrical power system. So it is imperative to replace thetraditional circuit-breaker. Currently, the circuit breaker is developing to intellectualization,communication and miniaturization.This paper describes the domestic and international development status and futuredevelopmentof circuit breaker, and the possibility of the GPRS wireless communicationtechnology applying to the circuit breaker is analyzed. The double steady state permanentmagnet operation structure working principle is also studied in this paper, proposing a wirelessnetwork based on GPRS intelligent permanent vacuum circuit breaker. The circuit breaker usedFMS320F2812DSP produced in TI cooperation as the main chip, which is a combination of setfunctions of detection, control, protection and GPRS wireless communication. The overallstructure of the hardware includes: system modules, analog input module, digital input andoutput modules, human-computer interaction module and GPRS communication module. Byusing C language, the controllor can achieve the functions such as voltage and current protection,closing and separating control, GPRS wireless communication and other functions. What’s more,an improved Fourier algorithm is given, to filtering out the fault generated ultraharmonics anddecaying DC component in power system, which improving the performance of the circuitbreaker.Finally,large number of experiments proved that the circuit breaker can basically meet thedesign requirements and technical specifications, and operate stably in the laboratoryenvironment.
