Electro-hydraulic proportional variable piston pump has characteristics of energy saving,precise control, high frequency response and long service life. It is widely used in metallurgy,mining, forging, construction machinery and shipbuilding industry. As drive component of thehydraulic system, how to increase the efficiency of pumps and improve the control performanceof the system is an important research subject in hydraulic fields.The whole simulation model of electro-hydraulic proportional variable pump wasestablished based on the AMESim software in the paper. The dynamic simulation of pressurecontrol and flow control of the system was carried through, and the influences of main structuralparameters of variable pump on system output dynamic characteristics in two control modeswere revealed through simulation and analysis. The lower limit of the output pressure flowcontrol is reduced greatly by improving control oil circuitsThe scheme of constant power control was designed in the paper, and simulation andanalysis were carried through. Finally,to solve the overshoot of the output pressure in pressurecontrol, PID controller, fuzzy controller and Fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller were designed inMATLAB/Simulink toolbox by adopting different strategies. The control effect of the controllerswere compared and verified through co-simulation based on AMESim and Simulink.
