The phenomena of "Premature aging" of reinforced concrete structures has become aserious problem we are currently faced with, and the durability of concrete structures has been aproblem of increasing widespread concerns.Combined with the theory of Fuzzy Logic andAnalytic Hierarchy Process,this paper studies the durability assessment of reinforced concretestructures on the basis of making summaries of current and previous structural durabilityassessment accomplishments.In this paper,at first,the author discourses on significance of concrete structure durabilitystudy,issues during the assessment process and main study contents for this field.Then theauthor analyzes and studies main factors related to durability damage of reinforced concretestructures,its damage mechanism and relevent remedial measures for these damages.The paper also elaborates on methods for durability assessment of reinforced concretestructures and establishes fuzzy assessment model and relevent index system on the basis offuzzy mathematics.At last,according to the maximum membership principle,the authordetermines durability rating of a reinforced concrete beam.The existing methods for durabilityassessment of reinforced concrete frame beam are also verified in the paper in combination withengineering practices and the results conform to actual situation,suggesting that the method isfeasible in most cases.In order to promote efficiency of assessment and reduce complicated matrix calculationand artificial errors,the paper makes the fuzzy assessment process mentioned above into a simplesoftware by the tool of Visual Studio.NET2005with the datum obtained from practicalassessments and expertise or experiences from experts in this field.In this programmedassessment system,the fast durability assessment of a reinforced concrete beam being used canbe realized and subsequently a more raliable assessment conclusion can be made.
