At present,although most of the car manufacturers in domestic adoptmicrocontroller electronic ignition technology, most of them do not have theindependent intellectual property rights of ECU(Electronic Control Unit). They directlyimport foreign ready-made electric control system, having a strong dependence onforeign advanced technology, especially in the automotive engine control system, thetechnologies related to ECU is under the state of strict commercial confidentiality,hasalways been in black field. So the high added values in car are earned by large foreignautomobile enterprises.This paper introduces the history of the electronic control engine and gasolineengine ignition control system. Elaborates the function and principle of automotiveelectronic control system. According to the demand of ECU function, this paper adoptsa32-bit RISC ARM9microprocessor architecture as the ECU chip for developing. TheARM9processor has the advantages of small volume, low power consumption, low cost,high performance, high real-time performance etc. It can meet the demand ofautomobile industry. Based on the chip, this paper finishes the designment of ECUignition system diagram, including the designment of ECU hardware, the designment offorward channel circuit, the designment of backward channel driver circuit, thedesignment of IIC communication circuit and ECU anti-interference.Automotive electronic control system has characteristics of heterogeneous, network,reliability, high flexibility etc. According to the mainstream characteristic above,thispaper writes ECU function code whit the ADS software environment,compiling theapplication code to generate the bin file, downloading the file to Nand Flash memorizer.Realizing the JTAG on-line debugging with the help of the AXD software environment,knock feedback control of ignition timing and multi-point sequential ignition timeSecureCRT serial display. In MATLAB, the paper calls ADVISOR2002software,getting the three dimension MAP plots of engine speed, load and ignition timing bysimulating. In conclusion,the paper makes objective discussion on some parts which are not completed in the electrical control system due to the limited ability.
