The development of the Embedded Measuring System for Ground Shell Dispersion (EMSGSD) aims at designing a precise positioning device to drive DC motor at steady and high speed, which could enhance driving force of DC motor in the automatic test system, improve the performance of the system.The module about DC motor is an important component of the EMSGSD. How to ensure the stability and positioning accuracy of DC motor is an important subject to improve the performance of the system.The MSGSD on the industrial computer is used to test the intensity of ground shell dispersion. However, there are errors about the position and the speed of DC motor due to the complexity of the entironment and the hardware circuit in the system.To conquer the problems above, an embedded platform of ARM9-based DC motor operation based on PID is designed to compensate the error. The platform embedded WinCE OS can measure the angle of DC motor with a precision of a pulse (the resolution of the encoder), and control the speed of DC motor steadily with an error of 5%, never exceed 10% even if there is outside interference.This thesis provides introduction and technical details regarding the research background, hardware composition, main principle, algorithm of PID and embedded software composition. It also gives a future revision about the later design and the field investigation.
