Research On The Status Quo And Improvement Strategy Of Living Environment For The Elderly In Ningbo

Nowadays, population aging has become a global trend and an important social issue confronting every country in the world. Most architectures in the modern city, either residence or public buildings, park, and streets, are all designed for young and middle-aged people, which has brought inconvenience and disadvantage to the old people. Though Ningbo has developed very quickly in the new century, it has become an aging city since1987, which is12years earlier than the national level. Therefore, how to create good living environment for the old people and improve their life quality in Ningbo is a new research subject.On the basis of advanced aging concepts at home and abroad, and practical experience of the old-age building, the thesis analyzes the problems of living environment for the elderly by fieldwork and questionnaire research on the old-age institutions and their residential communities. Then, in view of the aging trend in Ningbo and its problems, the thesis puts forward some proposals on the planning of the old-age facilities and residences in Ningbo.Firstly the paper introduces the domestic and foreign relevant research through background to clear research methods and research scope. And then presents the characteristics of two endowment organization and an older community of Ningbo city area. The space analysis, questionnaire investigation, data analysis are utilized in the research, the present situation of the elderly live in Ningbo, analyzes the background, pension mode, population aged facilities, older housing aspects analyzes present situation and the existing problems. Finally, strategies, from space layout and technical facilities put forward three levels of existing old residential building and its environment Ningbo improvement measures, and Ningbo urban areas to improve the living environment and the elderly strategy for the future.
