Highway construction in China has achieved rapid development in recent years, and at theend of2011, the national highway scale has reached85,000km. At the same time a largenumber of road materials recycling is relate to the thorny issue of environmental protection,sustainable economic development. At present, the level of China’s recycled technology isstill in the preliminary stage, and especially that the technology of high percentage of RAPused in the up layer of Asphalt Pavement is little.This article first narrates the asphalt pavement aging and regeneration mechanism briefly,explores the RAP regeneration method and the method of application, and choosing a highpercentage of RAP to be used in the above layer of asphalt pavement is the maximumeconomic benefits. Then this article introduces a variety of the microscopic detectionequipment in the asphalt mixture study, then preliminary has a study of the macroscopicanalysis of the blending state of the binder from the hot regenerated asphalt mixture of highcontent RAP by using infrared spectroscopy (IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM),the result shows that it has a good state of fusion between the old and new asphalt binder.Then the article describes the design process of high content RAP hot regeneration, it is morecomplex than the general design process, and it has a much more strict temperature control.Then the article tells that the laboratory test to research the performance of a high percentageof RAP hot regeneration, the results show that the RAP hot recycled asphalt asphalt mixtureimproved high-temperature performance than the ordinary asphalt mixture and the differenceof the water stability between them is little, and the low-temperature limit strain has adecrease.Finally, relying on special projects for the Guangzhou-Huizhou Expressway roadmaintenance, construction of a high percentage of RAP Hot Mixed recycled technology. Wecan see the performance of the test from the road field after a period of time: the effect ofpavement recycling is good. When the RAP add content reachs45%, its economic benefitssaves20%than ordinary asphalt pavement construction cost.
