By comparing the actual line loss with theoretical line loss offour typical transformers in LD power distribution network the article indicates the reasonsof high line loss and the corresponding loss reduction measures.Given the severe long-standing unbalanced three-phased loads of LD power distributionnetwork, and the problem of small hydro power occupying the power grid, the article analyzesthe impact of the line loss from those two factors theoretically. This may provide the theorybasis and guidelines for the on-going management of the LD power distribution network, andminimize the line loss.
