Photovoltaic source as renewable energy is inexhaustible, so photovoltaic generation technology is being paid more and more attention. This thesis is carried on research over Small Photovoltaic Power System. The main contents of the paper are as follows:1. A detailed description is given of the basic structure of PV, and the surface thickness of PV is the key factor for output. MPPT is analyzed, and an improved perturbation and observation method based on variable step size is proposed. The simulation results show that its validity and feasibility.2. Profound research on plan analysis of small photovoltaic power system is carried on. Profound research on control part of small photovoltaic power system is given, including DC/DC converter, inverter, and LC filter. The simulation results show that the validity is proved in the design small photovoltaic power system.3. Detecting islanding of small photovoltaic power system is given. Based on the research above, a islanding detection based on positive current feedback disturbance is proposed. The simulation results show that its validity and feasibility.4. The controlled part of small photovoltaic power system is realized by DSP. There are two parts of controlled part, including DC/DC converter and DC/AC converter. Profound research on the design of MPPT controller and contra variant circuit is given.
