Reciprocating compressor equipment for gas pipeline is widely used in petroleum, chemical and other industries. Pipe vibrations of reciprocating compressor are usually occurred in pipe design and machine working, which are influence the normal condition. Therefore, it’s necessary to analysis reasons of vibration and reduce the vibration. The plane wave theory is the basis of analyzing reciprocating compressors and pipeline gas pulsation. When the pressure unevenness is below15%, the gas pulsation can be describe accurately, and meet the engineering application. Based on the plane wave theory, it can be always establish a relationship between one point to another pulsating pressure and fluctuating velocity in the pipeline. Then linear equations are created, which can obtain the column natural frequency. This paper will use large structure analysis software ANSYS to build the model of reciprocating compressor pipelines, and carry out the modal analysis to obtain the low inherent frequency and vibration modals of the system. Then, calculate natural frequency of gas column by transfer matrix method. Based on the analysis, compare the inherent frequency of system and the natural frequency of gas column with the excitation frequency, and find the reason of resonance. Finally, methods to reduce the vibration will presented, and compare the situations of various methods.
