At present, most of satellites are working in synchronous orbit. The orbital plane and the earth’s equatorial plane are coincidence. The satellites rotation period is as same as the earth’s rotation period. The spectrum and orbital position is scarce and non-renewable. IGSO which is in the space outside of the equatorial plane can reuse of the spectrum of GEO. Additionally, GEO satellite is always under the influence of disturbing force. The satellite’s actual orbit is gradually deviated from the original orbit. Then it is needed to maintain satellite position regularly and make a small inclined angle on satellite when launching a new star to replace the satellite close to the end of life is failure. So the tracking of inclined orbit synchronous satellites is an intuitive and important task. This topic is researched on tracking system of inclined orbit synchronous satellites, and emphasized on orbit prediction and tracking algorithms. Firstly, the paper introduced the background of the research, the developing status at home and abroad as well as main research content in this topic. Then it has introduced the principle of inclined orbit synchronous satellites which included of the orbit types, orbit elements and perturbed motion. Then it has predicted the satellite orbit by orbit elements, and the ground track of "∞" is confirmed. Then it summarized the principle of Servo controls subsystem and tracking. Especially delivered the design of tracking algorithms as well as accomplished the software. The paper also verified its performance of tracking by experimental tests, and analyzed related factors. Owing to the limited condition of experiment, the tracking algorithm of inclined orbit synchronous satellites is further verified in practical applications.
