Compared with conventional vehicles, electric vehicle has the advantages ofsaving energy and reducing emissions, which has become a focus in the world. Inthe electric vehicle power system, motor drive system is the core. Permanentmagnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has been praised highly among drive motorsas a result of its high reliability, small size, high power density, low noise, highefficiency, simple structure, etc. Therefore, it is very meaningful to researchPMSM drive and control technology, in the field of electric vehicle applications. The dissertation also introduced the present situation of PMSM and itscontrol algorithm. Based on the analysis of three-phase permanent magnetsynchronous motor theory, the mathematical model is established, deeplyresearched vector control method, put forward a kind of PMSM control strategybased on space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM). It use maximum torqueper ampere (MTPA) control strategy when the motor speed below the rated speed, otherwise use flux-weaking control, which could broad motor speed space andimprove the performance of the system. Simulation model is builted in theMATLAB/Simulink environment. The simulation results show that the entiresystem run transition smoothly from constant torque area to the flux-weakingarea in this control condition, the system response speedly simultaneously, andhave certain load ability in the high-speed area system. This dissertation useTMS320F2812as its core for the design of hardware and software of PMSMdrive controller, and describe the main hardware circuit and software algorithmprocess. Finally, research the PMSM controller on the bench experiments.
