Owing to earthquake, the waves of the sea, freezing andthawing cycle and overload, poor management etc, a large numberof concrete bridges exists partial or whole damage and need formaintenance and reinforcement in our country. The main methodsof bridge reinforced includes increase section or reinforcementstabilization, increase member stabilization, the externalprestressed reinforcement method, the weld reinforcement method, paste steel plate, and paste fiber plates reinforcing method. Pastefiber plates reinforcement is a kind of economic and effectivemethod, compared with other method having obvious advantages.Basalt fiber is a kind of inorganic and it can be natural degradationof new environmental protection materials.Basalt fiber is preparedby natural basalt ore as raw material and compared with other fiberhave excellent performance. Therefore, to carry out basalt fiberplates to strengthen the bridge research has the importanttheoretical foundation and economic benefits. This paper carried out experimental research and theoreticalanalysis of flexural behavior of damage concrete beamsstrengthened with BFRP sheets, and mainly completed thefollowing contents: (1) Design and product8test beams which are reinforced concreterectangular cross section.(2) There are two beams to carried out monotone static load test togain the cracking load and yield load and ultimate load, etc, and6reinforcement beam loading to1/2limit load to make its crazed justused to simulate the existing damage for the actual situation.(3) Pasted different layer of basalt fiber plates on the beams toreinforced them, carried out monotone static load test, and gained theultimate bearing capacity, deflection-load curve, steel bar、fiberplates and concrete strain-load curve.(4) Carried out theory analysis for reinforced beams, and comparedwith the test results.(5) Use the large general finite element software ANSYS to simulate, and compared the simulation results with the test results.
