The Study On Black Start For District Power Network

More and more recognition has been focused on the black start and security of power systems because blackouts had taken place frequently in the past few years. Black start means restoration from blackout of power systems, generating units that can restore without the support of other power system firstly, then assist other generating units to start up, and realizes the restoration of the entire power system finally. Black start is the last line of defence of the security of the power systems.In order for construction of a proper black start scenario, achievement of fast recovery and lesser loss, an optimal generating unit set and a logical startup path for black start of power systems should be decided to solve the problem of reliability and economics. And for the constitution of the restoration plan of power systems, much research has to be made about the theory and strategy of black start.This paper dedicates itself to the study on the theory and strategy of black start. This paper analyses some important problems about black start, including how to choose the right power, how to decide the initial state, and how to choose the restoration path.This paper studies on some application issues during black start, including the control of frequency and voltage, prevention of overvoltage, prevention of self-excitation, problems about low frequency oscillation and the system stability.In the end, this paper analyses the black start strategy of HuZhou power network. It introduces the general background of HuZhou power network and brings out three schemes for different operating conditions. It does its best to shorten the time for black start and reduce the loss.
