With the gradually integration of the intermittent wind power into the grid, new challenges to the generation scheduling of the power system has emerged for the uncertainty of the wind power, which calls for the related theoretical research and analysis. This thesis focuses on the research of the grid dispatch technology considering the uncertainty of the wind farm. The whole work is divided into three parts:the power flow calculation of the system consisting wind farm, the ahead-day units commitment and the maximum installed wind farm capacity. Simulations areć™®performed in the Visual Studio2005, using C++language and a software package called CPLEX.The first part introduced the modeling of the ordinary asynchronous wind turbines and doubly fed asynchronous wind turbines. An improved power flow calculation method considering the characteristics of the grid containing wind farm turbines is proposed, and the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is correct and effective.To deal with the uncertainty of the output of the wind farm, a spinning reserve strategy considering wind farm is given to cooperate with the prediction error of the wind power. Furthermore, based on the updating short-term wind power prediction and the additional rolling time period which is determined by the fluctuation of the system net load, a rolling modification to the day-ahead dispatching scheduling is presented. In addition, both the line flow security and the power losses are taken into consideration.The maximum installed capacity part is consisted of the research results of the other scholars. The static security optimization method is implied on the New England39-node system to obtain the maximum capacity of the wind farm, meanwhile, the restrictions to the wind farm installation are analyzed.
