Research On Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter

In real life,arc fault circuit breaker has a significant role to protect circuit and to prevent fire by arc fault.Common circuit breaker can take actions just over the rated current. In fact, when many electrical fire occurs, the working current did not exceed rated current, but it had happened not reaching the rated current. This paper mainly does deep research about such circuit breaker, and designs a new type of arc fault circuit breaker, so that it can prevent the occurrence of electrical fire.This paper mainly introduces the types of the arc,and arc fault,normal arc image clearly.And it summarizes the common and difference between them.Besides that it also introduces the experimental process that current signal acquisition process in detail. This experiment includes laboratory platform, arc generator production and the actual load selection.The mainly content is:(1) The wavelet transform related theory, continuous wavelet transform and discrete wavelet transform and and can use to analyze the arc fault, which through the induction cooker of wavelet transform, the correlation is introduced through the arc fault and normal arc contrast, wavelet analysis and Windows mobile method summarized judgment fault arc and fee of arc fault criterion, and through this topic of19kinds of load verification.(2) Using pic16f877a single-chip microcomputer, the arc fault circuit breaker in hardware design, in the related software simulation, and a physical make arc fault circuit breaker completed including liquid crystal display, buzzer alarm, release the switching circuit function.(3) By the mplab software, the hardware of each part of programming, and draw the corresponding program flow chart.The design of the arc fault circuit breaker is a new type of effective, simple operation, low cost, can be widely used electrical safety products.
