Amphibious warfare is one of main forms which will be met for our army in the future.As the important weapon which our military motorized combat troops use to land ashore,self-propelled artillery with amphibious warfare capability must meet the requirements ofstability and rapidity, but also have the ability to fire on water with better firing stability andfiring accuracy. However, the vibrations of muzzle affect greatly the gun’s firing accuracy. Inorder to improve firing accuracy it is thus important to investigate the barrel’s vibrationcharacteristics and relevant active vibration control technique.In the work, the gun barrel is as the flexible body. Based on the analysis of various loadsof the self-propelled artillery when firing on the water, the launch dynamic simulation modelof the artillery when firing on the water is also built in the mechanical system dynamicssimulation software ADAMS based on the contact-impact behavior between projectile andbarrel, barrel and cradle, trunnion and trunnion chamber, the main gear of elevatingmechanism and cradle arc, the cross-bearing and chassis, then solve the model. Based on thesimulation results, the work analyses the law of recoil resistance and the vehicle motion of theamphibious artillery shooting on water, and focus on the analysis of vehicle motion andinfluence on the gun barrel vibration of the launch load and the vehicle motion. At last, theinfluences of system parameters in the barrel’s vibration are studied.On the basis of the above work, the regular wave’s exciting force loaded on the chassis isbuilt with the ship theory. The launching dynamics simulation model is also built when firingon water, in which the influences of the regular wave’s exciting force under many sea’sconditions. Then the vibration characteristic is numerically analyzed.In the end, according to the vibration characteristics of barrel of amphibious gun whenfiring on water, four feasible options for the active control on gun barrel’s vibration are putforward. The results show that the barrel’s vibration of amphibious gun when firing on watercan be suppressed significantly, it is of positive significance for reducing the muzzle vibration.The study in this paper provides the basis for dynamical analysis and vibration control ofamphibious guns when firing on water. It is helpful for researchers to reduce the muzzle’svibration, improve gun’s firing accuracy and fighting efficiency.
