The technology of virtual reality is a High-tech technology, which is developedin recent years. It is still in the bud. Many experts both at home and abroad areactively exploring in this field, and make the prospect of the application and market ofthis technology developed rapidly. At present, this technology is applied in manyfields, such as space, designing, manufacturing, information management, education,entertainment, and so on. In recent years, with the rapid development of automobileindustry, the training work of the automobile industry is also growing rapidly day byday. The virtual reality assembly system that is designed in this thesis combined thevirtual reality technology with the demand of automobile industry, and also builtvirtual assembly simulation system of engine based on Virtools development platform,which can create an effective learning platform for users. At the same time, it played akey role on improving the enterprise benefit and reducing training cost, and also got alot of ascension on the training quality and safety.The existing virtual reality assembly system themselves still have manydeficiencies such as simplification, assembly complications. Therefore, a kind ofvirtual assembly system that are intelligentialize and diversity is particularlyimportant. Based on the analysis of the domestic virtual reality technology and therelated theory demand of engine assembly training, this thesis achieved thediversification of the system and intelligent by combining the function includingmultiplayer online interactive on the basis of the virtual assembly, add special toolsself-assembly to the system, the display of the model of some important parts andlearn by clicking on the video. Finally, used Ant Algorithm to optimize the assemblysequence and prove its feasibility.Compared with the traditional virtual reality assembly, this system mainlyexpanded the function of assembling virtual reality system, introduced the function,design principle, overall architecture and database’s design of the engine virtualassembly system. Also, elaborated on some key module function of the engine virtualassembly system such as the engine collision check, a distributed dialogue, display ofimportant components and video learning resources.On the basis of the SQL database and the connection of the Virtools, this thesiscarried on the detailed instructions on many functions, including3d model’s displayof important parts of the virtual assembly system, data query, self-assembly andcalling of the special tools of dismantling and installation, video on demand, multi-user distributed online dialogue, and integrated and expounded its realizationprocess, then reflected the diversity of the function of the system.Considering the flow problems of the system operation, this thesis adopted thedynamic loading method for material’s load and management, achieved theperformance optimization of system’s operation, renovated assembling pheromones inlocal and global by using Ant Algorithm, guided the components to find the optimalpath of assembly, so as to realize the generation and planning of virtual assemblyoptimal sequence of the engine components, achieved the optimization of the wholeengine assembling virtual reality system.
