Since the standard dry bulk ship form was published in2003, a large number of ships have been built according to the standard form in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, and have put into actual operation which greatly promoted the ship standardization work in Yangste River. But, in recent years a series of new ship building regulations came into effect, and the ship type was developed, so it is necessary to renew and further optimize the primary standard ship form.According to these situation, this article includes following work:first, establish an evaluation index system of standard of inland dry bulk ship form and use ER algorithm to make a comprehensive evaluation for the published standard dry bulk carrier form in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area getting the result that the principal dimensions, ship lines, general layout and equipment selection of the primary standard ship form could be optimized to make it more adaptable to the current inland ship type development trend. Second, based on "The ship principal dimensions of standard ship form for passing-lock ship in the Yangtze trunk" that published by the Ministry of Transport, use principal component analysis (PCA) to choose the best ship principal dimension with technical and economic advantage from the existing outstanding dry bulk ship type. Third, optimize the ship type lines aimed to further improve the ship tonnage and reduce the energy consumption of per tonnage and finally got a kind of bulb-bowed line and asymmetric double tail fin line for the standard dry bulk ship in Chuanjiang River and Three Gorges Reservoir Area based on the conventional and emerging ship type lines of inland river ships in recent years. Forth, make a further argument to deep tank structure optimization to reduce the weight of ship structure and the cost of ship and optimize the ship general layout followed the principles of maximizing the use of the cargo deck area after ensuring the safety, convenient manipulation and comfort of the ship. In the aspect of ship equipment included the ship main engine optimization, generating units and its auxiliary equipment optimization, environmental protection equipment optimization.
