Research On Flood Control And Ecological Control Projects Of Guangchang Donggou River

Based on the characteristics of urban rivers, this thesis takes Guangchang Donggou river channel as research object to conduct a study on flood control and ecological management of the river, so as to explore effective methods on urban river regulation.With an elevation difference of92m between the north and south bank of the river, the flood peak flows fast during the flood season. Thus, the flood control and ecological management project is to be carried out to slow down the flow speed effectively, decrease the flood scour to the retaining wall and river bottom, increase the rain and flood infiltration, give full play to the function of groundwater replenishment, as well as improve river landscape, implement flood control and ecological control engineering. The paper mainly conducted the following research work:First, the project design research was carried out. Aiming at the problems such as the big elevation differences between river north and south, flood control pressure and other issues, flood control engineering design was proposed according to the hydrology analysis and calculation. Moreover, aiming at the problems such as water pollution, decline in biodiversity and the poor appearance of river, landscape engineering design and engineering investment was also proposed based on the principles of ecosystem functionality, ecology and artistry.Second, according to design requirements and the management goal, six aspects such as pollution control, river regulation, flood regulation, water treatment, landscape management and dirty treatment was put forward. In water treatment, diversion project was proposed to take advantage of the abandoned water to recharge the groundwater resources effectively by strong seepage belt and the transformation of surface water to groundwater. This process could make full use of the spring water after appreciating.Third, After five months of comprehensive management, the water quality was monitored in the process of the project. The data showed that COD, BOD, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and ammonia nitrogen were decreased obviously, the DO content was increased significantly and the water quality was improved effectively. In addition, the infiltration capacity of river channel and ecological effects were enhanced significantly. According to treatment results analysis, the practicability of flood control and ecological management could be verified.Based on project research about flood control and ecological management of Guangchang donggou, it was found that the channel management was no longer limited to functionality regulation. The thinking of ecological management of harmony between people and water also play a more prominent role in river channel management. This kind of management ideas is still in start-up phase in Jinan river management. So, vigorous promotion is needed in channel management in Jinan.
