In our country, intelligent transportation system is a comprehensive urban transportation solution, in order to ease traffic pressure and reduce urban traffic accident rate. Road condition map services as an integral part of intelligent transportation system for the entire intelligent transportation systems to provide map query service support. The research and realization of road condition map service can improve query efficiency of intelligent transportation system and reduce map query time.This paper uses the traffic algorithm based on the floating car data, and make secondary development to produce Layer Control controls to reduce map loading time on the basis of the third-party software, finally realize the road condition map service in intelligent transportation system. This paper’s working is mainly divided into the following four:Firstly, this paper researches the intelligent transportation system development status in China and abroad and intelligent transportation systems architecture. This paper compares the similarities and differences between the development of intelligent transportation systems in the United States, Japan, Europe and China. This paper analyzes the structure of the Intelligent Transportation Systems, clears the position of road condition map service in the Intelligent Transportation Systems.Secondly, this paper makes a research of the road condition map services production and publishing technology. Map production is a reworking of GIS data, the road condition map is based on the completion of the base map. Road condition map releases by tiles Internet map publishing technology.Thirdly, in order to calculate the road condition on the map, this paper uses the city traffic algorithms based on the floating car data. Alternative to traditional fixed-point monitoring devices using floating car data to calculate the city traffic can improve the city traffic algorithm’s accuracy and timeliness.Fourthly, design and realize the road condition map service. Combine with the first three terms of reach results, this paper realizes the road condition map service from map production to the map publishing, and develops Layer Control controls on the basis of the third-party software in order to improve the efficiency of map loading.
