In recent years, with the continuous development of transportation and water conservancy infrastructures construction, railway tunnels, highway tunnels and intake tunnels, under Chinese complex geological and environmental conditions, appears in large numbers. Karst disaster is the most common geological disasters in underground construction in mountain area. The majority of researches concerning the underground construction in the karst area at home and abroad are mainly about the railway tunnels and road tunnels, and they have got a certain degree of success. But there is a certain difference between hydraulic tunnels and railway tunnels, construction technology of hydraulic tunnels under karst condition has yet to be perfected. Therefore, the safety of construction of hydraulic tunnels in karst conditions and treatment technique for karst has become an urgent research topic.In this paper, based on the intake tunnel which is under construction.research about the construction of hydraulic tunnel and karst treatment under conditions of different forms of water-filled cave through theoretical analysis, numerical simulation calculations and so on were carry on. The main research work are as following,1,A lot of research and analysis of karst tunnels that has been built at home and abroad, as well as preliminary assessment of karst hazard, karst detection and karst treatment were executed.2,Based on the intake tunnel that is under construction,assumed that the water-filled cave was a cylinder. Combined with on-site engineering geology conditions and support parameters,did force and deformation analysis and summarized the variation discipline through numerical simulation for the top of the tunnel, the bottom and the lateral when there were different size and different spacing water-filled caves.3, treatment technique for karst of tunnels that has been built like railway tunnels had been researched and analysis, highway tunnels and hydraulic tunnels. And then the karst treatment principles and treatment technique for general karst was sorted out. According to the specific situations of intake tunnel, several kinds of treatment techniques for karst had been proposed.4,Numerical analysis of treatment technique for energy release and decompression of high-pressure water-filled caves and verified its feasibility was performed.
