The safety and stability of high-speed trains are attracted worldwide attention with the continuous increase of the train’s running speed. Most key equipments which affect the safety and stability of trains are hanging in the equipment compartment. Increasingly high demands on the ventilation and heat dispersion heat increase with the increase of the train’s running speed. Besides, the aerodynamic loads on the apron of equipment compartments increase.The aerodynamic model of high-speed train with equipment compartments and the finite element model of apron, floor and bracket were established by using the CFD software FLUENT and finite element analysis software ANSYS WORKBENCH, respectively. With those models, the ventilation and heat dispersion heat of the equipment compartment and apron structural response were studied when the high-speed trains were running in varieties of environments. Conclusions are as follows:1. The out pressure on the "B" end of head or tail coach is larger than that on the "A" end of head or tail coach when the train is running in open air without cross wind. If the position of the grizzly screen is adjusted appropriately, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet would increase; therefore, the ventilation and heat dispersion heat of the equipment compartment would be improved. The type of the grizzly screen affect the flow direction of the air in equipment compartments and the vertical type of the grizzly screen is more suitable for the ventilation and heat dispersion of the equipment compartment.2. The performance of the ventilation and heat dispersion heat of the equipment compartments would be different with asymmetric grizzly screens in two sides. When the grizzly screen in the "B" end of coach is windward, the performance of the ventilation and heat dispersion heat of the equipment compartments is bad. When the grizzly screens are set in both sides of the "A" and the "B" end of coach, the performance of the ventilation and heat dispersion heat of the equipment compartments is good.3. When the high-speed train passes through the tunnel, the performance of the ventilation and heat dispersion heat of the equipment compartments were seriously affected by the passes of tunnel air pressure wave through the vents pressure difference.4. The maximum aerodynamic loads of equipment compartment are side aprons on the "A" and the-"B" end of coach when the train is running in open or passing through the tunnel, the location of maximum stress is on the L plate of apron bracket in all operating condition, it’s same as the crack location of apron bracket was founded during equipment maintenance.
