Concrete face rockfill dam with its seismic stability and good adaptability for deformation, become the preferred type of dam built on deep overburden layer of the strong earthquake area. On thick moraine cover foundation is based on the engineering example, estuary village face rockfill dam, by three-dimensional nonlinear finite element numerical analysis method, the static and dynamic work conducted in-depth research, and summarizes the general rules of deep overburden layer ground high concrete face rockfill dam stress and deformation, demonstrates the rationality of design of Hekou village dam structure, and safety under seismic action, gives a basis theoretical for the construction and design. This article main research content is as follows:(1) On the basis of face rockfill dam seismic Research, according to the structural characteristics of the concrete face rockfill dam and deep overburden stress and deformation of concrete face rockfill dam, the preparation of the corresponding model subroutine in ABAQUS, overlay anddam static and dynamic constitutive material model and analytical methods.(2) To Hekou Village Reservoir Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam for example model, using the large-scale finite element analysis software ABAQUS, a three-dimensional nonlinear finite element method and step loading technique, construction of the dam and impoundment stage loading, carried out a detailed simulation, the dam during construction period and storage period of water stress and displacement, panel impervious wall displacement and stress, the displacement and stress of the dam. The calculation results show that, although the Hekou village CFRD covering layer is deep, the geological conditions of the dam site is complex, but the dam stress and deformation trend is consistent with the general rules, but also in numerical design is acceptable. The dam design is technically feasible.(3) In the estuary village faced rockfill dam static analysis on the basis of three-dimensional nonlinear dynamic finite element analysis method, established in ABAQUS dam and seismic analysis models. The role of the design seismic loading, seismic acceleration response of the dam, displacement and stress response, displacement and stress response of the panel, the basis of the cut-off wall displacement and stress response, a more detailed analysis. The results show that the seismic stability of the dam and the dynamic response characteristics of law in general, in line with the design specifications, the design of the dam is reasonably practicable; crest and near the top of the dam downstream slope area under seismic action may cause heap local stone fall and loose, should take the necessary reinforcement measures in this area to the earthquake.Use and established the model and methods, for the deep overburden layer of concrete face rockfill dam under earthquake condition research on stress and deformation properties and prediction are analyzed and some theoretical exploration, some of the analysis result has certain reference and application value for the project.
