Concrete face rockfill dam have good seismic stability and deformation, so it has been widely used in water conservancy engineering in our country, and become the preferred type of dam built on deep overburden layer of the strong earthquake area. In this paper, referring to some parameters of estuary village face rockfill dam, establish the model of concrete face rockfill dam, analysis the influence of different cover thickness on CFRD dam body and pane with static dynamic characteristics. Provides a certain theoretical basis for the design and construction of concrete face rockfill dam on thickness. The main research content of this article is as follows:(1) Selecting the appropriate static, dynamic constitutive for deep overburden layer of concrete face rockfill dam, working out finite element subroutine to realize the finite element calculation;(2) With reference to the estuary village project example, set up suitable model for concrete face rockfill dam in this paper, through static analysis, giving static characteristics and variation of the panel and the dam in different coating thickness;(3) On the basic of static calculation, carry out dynamic calculation of the dam, through dynamic analysis, giving dynamic characteristics and variation of the panel and the dam in different coating thickness.
