FRP(Fiber Reinforced Polymer)is have caused the extensive concern by the expertdomestic and overseas since it was born.The most potential and typical composite material isFRP tube.GFRP tube filled with reinforced concrete composite component is one new kind ofcomposite forcing steel bars set in GFRP tube and then pouring concrete into the tubes.Thereinforced concrete filled GFRP tubes not only can provide a good alternative for reinforcedconcrete effectively subjected to corrosive atmosphere, but also can improve the propertiesand enhance the bearing capacity as a permanent form for the reinforced concrete.They mayadapt to the especial demands of the environment to the structure.the reinforced concretefilled GFRP tubes are expected to be more widely used as a new type composite components.This paper first summarizes the research status of FRP confined concrete domestic andoverseas,According to mechanical properties of the reinforced concrete Filled GFRP tubebeams,some work has been done by the finite element analysis and theoretical methods andthe major content are the following:1)Using the finite element software ABAQUS,the numerical model of the reinforcedconcrete Filled GFRP tube beam is established and validated its validity,Feature points from atypical force-displacement curve of cross the section stress of concrete are calculated.Moreover, the interaction between steel and concrete,GFRP tube and concrete are consideredin this thesis.2)Through the numerical simulation of the reinforced concrete filled GFRP tube beams,the work mechanism is Studied.Contrastive analysis of bearing and deformation capacity aredeveloped,which take the effects of vessel wall thickness,reinforcement ratio,concretestrength grade into account.3)Using limit equilibrium method of reinforced concrete and uniform theory of concretefilled steel tube,the formulas of ultimate bearing capacities of GFRP tube Filled Withreinforced concrete beams are created.The theoretical calculated results agree well with theexperimental results.
