The lifting performance of Air Cushion Vehicle (ACV) is closely related to stability, resistance and seakeeping capability. Skirt cushion system which affects on lifting performance greatly is the critical part of ACV, and is also the main distinguishing feature.An ACV was simplified by CFD method based on related research experience; The physical model of the skirt cushion system was built, and it was divided by unstructured grid to guarantee the accuracy of calculation; Boundary conditions were confirmed according to real state of internal flow field and theoretical calculation; A numerical simulation has been conducted for3-D internal flow field in ACV, and the reliability of this model has been verified.Pressure distribution of each part was calculated and compared with the outcome of theoretical calculation, and then the pressure distribution nephograms of loop, cushion and under stern skirt were displayed. For changing the lifting height in accordance with different lifting states, parameters such as loop pressure, cushion pressure, total lifting force and center of pressure were studied and analyzed. Flow rate and volume of each state and each part were compared, so that the reason for different flow situations was discussed.The simulation results obtained showed the selected model which has been used in the numerical simulation for lifting performance was reasonable, also the results has important reference value on improving the design of lifting system and forecasting lifting performance in the future.
