The rapid development of electric power transmission technology and the mechanical load widely used in industrial production and daily life make the load simulator become a hot research problem. By the method of simulating the actual load of dynamic and static characteristics instead of the auto-disable physical experiment, not only the cost and resources can be saved, but also the experiment is completed and practical problems are solved. This paper regards electric load simulator as study direction, based on the high speed DSP microprocessor controlled, and aims at changing the condition that resistance equipments are dragged by motor in lab all the time by exploring the motor load simulation system. It’s not only saving energy, as well as for a variety of load simulation, but also saving the cost and expanding the research direction at the same time.This paper first introduces the development background and research significance of the load simulator. In order to realize energy feedback, this paper expounds the four quadrant operation principle and determins load simulation experiment platform which make the asynchronous motor and DC motor based on TMS320F2812and DCS800as controller.Then, for the purpose of realizing asynchronous motor control, the control idea of direct torque control system, related concepts and composition of the control part are analyzed in this paper. Research is mainly focused on the direct torque control related theory of induction motor in the power generation state, control difficulties are also analysed. And this paper carries on the control feasibility analysis by Matlab/Simulink simulation, After the theory of constant torque are discussed in this paper, it determines the dc motor drive method of constant torque, establishes the whole electric load simulation control system imitation model and verifies the simulation experiment operable.Based on above theory, this paper carries on the physical hardware build and software design. In hardware structures, it tries to solve problems that the traditional rectifier inverter device is unable to realize energy feedback by using double IPM module, it also completes related detection circuit and control circuit’s design. In software design, in order to improve the control performance of the system, the traditional model of six sectors is elaborated, the accuracy of control is improved, and C language is used in programming, including process of detection signal sampling, the capture of the rotational torque, the switch control compare unit. Last, based on above theoretical research and the design of software and hardware, it has carried on the one-way system of constant torque load simulation experiment and the constant power load simulation. Although it doesn’t realize two-way flow of energy, it has analyzed and prospected, and has lay the foundation for future research.
