The ship maintenance problems have been taken as an important part of business managements by modern shipping enterprises. As enterprises’ overall efficiency is directly affected by the ship maintenance strategy.In practice,ship machinery includes various kinds as well as quantities, additionally.different equipments have different influences on ship safety,so the maintenance problems need to be considered according to actual situations.The implementation of the PMS system is the trend of development of ship maintenance.recently many large shipping companies have adopted this system with applying the management software to the ship.and the feedback of application is positive. On the basis of the PMS and a large number of relevant information, this paper has studied the selection processes of machinery maintenance mode and the strategy of maintenance cycle, aiming to improve the scientific nature of the ship’s maintenance strategy.The main contents of this paper are as follows:First of all.introduce the research background and significance of maintenance decision-making in the new situation.and introduce the developing situation of the domestic and foreign relevant research;Second,research the ship planned maintenance system,and discuss the relationship between PMS and CWBT;Then study decision-making method of ship equipment maintenance mode,including division method of important mechanical equipment,using analytic hierarchy process(ahp)software to solve the hierarchical analysis model and modeling based on Monte Carlo simulation;The last is about decision of maintenance cycle based on the PMS,study several model of decision-making according to the different requirements of equipment maintenance cycle,confirm state-detection cycle and build cycle model based on equipment degradation,and comes with a case analysis.
