Cluster MR-effect polishing is based on the magnetic current MR-effect of Bingham viscoelastic fluid in the magnetic field, abrasive mixed with MR fluid as a polishing liquid, multi-point array cluster MR-effect flexible grindingbrush for polishing a polishing discs, not only to overcome the traditional free abrasive polishing method is uneven, unstable, avoid hard contact disadvantage of fixed abrasive polishing, the key is evenly distributed magnetic field, current permanent magnet, the presence of a magnetic field intensity is not adjustable, easy to attenuation of the magnetic field strength, magnetic field inhomogeneity of the polishing disk. This study is based cluster MRF machining principle, distributed explore an electromagnetic field generator, to optimize the design and performance analysis.First, the analysis of some of the the cluster the MR processing apparatus of the magnetic field generator defects, has a great influence on the final polishing effect. Due to the defects of the magnetic field generator, the magnetic field generator in the existing experimental device to transform, by the permanent magnet magnetic field generator and electromagnetic field generator comparative advantages, analysis of the electromagnetic field generator for cluster MRF has more advantages. The MRF process device structure of the magnetic field generator to determine the overall structure of the electromagnet and the components (core, pole head, the size of the coil), wire size and structure of the material.Second, electromagnetic field finite element analysis software parameters of the lattice structure of the electromagnet pole head (magnetic refers length, structure of the cluster lattice, groove gap. groove depth and arc treatment) are optimized to form surface domain of the cluster effect of the magnetic field by ansoft. Optimized by simulation developed for cluster MR polishing electromagnet, PEX-035type digital Tesla magnetic field strength test results show that the simulation data consistent with the measured data trends, but the points on the curve the maximum relative error value of39%.Finally, according to the the cluster the lattice magnetic pole head surface magnetic field strength of the test results and the iron powder placed in the first magnetic pole surface morphology and thickness of the test results, the analysis of the magnetic field of the first magnetic pole surface may be formed surface domain. The results show that the space of the electromagnet pole head structure further optimized.
