Electromagnet is a vital component of the electro-hydraulic control valve. Theperformance of electromagnet is good or bad profoundly influenced the performanceof the electro-hydraulic control vavle. Therefore, to master the performance whichinfluenced by structural parameters of electromagnet provide a theoretical basis andreference guide for the design of electromagnet.This article uses the solenoid electromagnet as the object of study. Solenoidelectromagnet was designed and calculated preliminarily by using the electromagnetictheory and experience design formulas and it even determined the underlyingstructural dimensions and parameters. According to the initial results of the design,the two-dimensional simulation model of the solenoid electromagnet was establishedby applying the electromagnetic field simulation software of Ansoft Maxwell. Then,to analysis the structural parameters of the electromagnet which would influence thecharacteristics of dynamic and static, such as the thickens of the guide sleeve, themagnetic isolating angle, the loop position of magnetic isolating, the length of thearmature, the armature diameter. Simulation results show that the angular dimensionof magnetic isolating angle, the position of separated magnetic, the armature diameterof the electromagnet has a great influences to the electromagnetic force ofelectromagnetic. The structural of electromagnet was improved according to analysisresult by the simulation, the electromagnet two-dimensional model was re-establishedby using the software of Ansoft Maxwell and simulated.In addition, a test system for the performance testing of the electromagnet wasdeveloped by using VB as the development environment in this article, and combiningwith the sensing and control technology. The system has many advantages, such as thestep-less adjustment of the size of the load, adjustment of the speed, small friction,prompt action, simple and reliable structure. Meantime, the system can be tested onmany kinds of model electromagnet. The performance of a abroad solenoidelectromagnet was tested by using this electromagnet characteristic test system, theresult of testing and simulation was compared. The result shows that the simulation model of the solenoid electromagnet and the parameter settings by applying thesoftware of Ansoft Maxwell according to the abroad solenoid electromagnet wasreasonable and valid. At the same time, it was the simulation model and the parametersettings that according to design from this article was reasonable and valid. Also thesimulation result was credible.It was conclude that the design of solenoid-type electromagnet has a goodperformance, a large electromagnetic force, a wide range of temperature and it alsohas a stronger ability resistant voltage fluctuation by analysis of the simulationresults.
