In order to improve the durability of the bridge, This paper studied a kind of bridge deck with CFRP reinforced concrete, which has a very good ability to resist salt and corrosion. Through a field test of bending strength, this paper investigate the bridge deck with different reinforcement ratio of CFRP rebars about the relationship of load and displacement, the ultimate flexural capacity, the stress distribution of CFRP rebars, the strain distribution of concrete and so on. The results showed that the new bridge deck presented characteristics of partial plastic failure due to the failure of the bond force between CFRP rebars and concrete and that the new bridge deck had the similar structure strain trends and stress distribution compared with the reinforced concrete deck, in accord with the assumed plane section. The bond force between CFRP rebars and concrete controled the flexural capacity of the new bridge deck. Therefor, by using sand blast or notch to handle the surface of CFRP rebars could develop the bond force between CFRP rebars and concrete, which could improve the ultimate flexural capacity of bridge deck.
