The vehicle electric power steering(EPS) gear is the important component ofautomobile.The electric power steering system control requirements for fast response, small torque fluctuation. At present most of the EPS system adopts dc motor as the power, but the dc motor torque fluctuation is bigger, and it limits theperformance of EPS. The control system of Permanent magnet synchronous motor using rare earth permanent magnet as rotor is more simple, it can achieve control requirements rapid and accurately. And its Application in the EPS system has certain superiority.Usually permanent magnet synchronous motor detects the information of rotorwith sensor, to realize the rotor position tracking. But it will reduce the reliability of thesystem, increase the cost, limit the motor applications in harsh environments, this isopposite of high speed motor, miniaturization. This article USES the permanent magnetsynchronous motor with sensorless as motor of EPS system. Research on controlstrategy as a foundation for the development of high performance of EPS system.This thesis mainly do the following work: research the sensorless control technology suitable for EPS system, ensure that detect rotor position information accurately; research the motor starting, ensure that motor can start smoothly; takemeasures to solve problems that may occur; finally set up a simulation model ofpermanent magnet synchronous motor in Matlab/Simulink, and prove theory partis correct and accurate...
