After Meiji era, the process of urbanization of Taisho to early Showa(1912-1935)is ananother important period in the whole process. In which Japan established unified urbanplanning system.Urban planning mainly can be divided into two phases, in the first stage,the country established the unified laws included cities and streets planning, imported thereadvanced planning technology which contained land zoning arrangement, application area,and building line, and made Japan follow the European and American advanced cityplanning steps, opened a landmark of the city planning picture. In the second phase, Japanhave experienced the earthquake of Kanto region, Japan enacted urban renaissanceplanning, made the urban landscape that included city roads, Bridges, parks and so on haveimproved. And in which residents’ healthy, cultural, educational and other social securityundertakings were seriously valued, it promoted the enhancement of social groups andcitizens’ awareness of independent construction of the city. Although some problems suchas immature planning regulation, industrial pollution and poverty appeared during thisperiod, the experience of urbanization of Japan still has a certain reference for China.
