Study Of The Axles Fatigue Test Method

With the rapid development of high-speed railway in China, as well as the continuous rise of vehicle running speed, the axles of the high-speed train have become a more important part to the train operation safety. Axle fatigue test rig is the important equipment to test the fatigue performance of the axle, so the research of axle fatigue testing is of great significance.In this paper, the experimental study on the axle fatigue strength at home and abroad and the accelerated fatigue test method are introduced. Several axle fatigue strength at home and abroad were introduced in detail design calculation standards, at the same time, the fatigue strength of the powered axles of CRH5and CRH2were calculated using the European and Japanese standard, and the two standards were detailedly compared according to the calculated results. The Izod and Charpy axle rotating bending fatigue test rig force model simplified by the beam theory, to compare the pros and cons of the two type axle fatigue test, the Izod rotating bending fatigue test of axle method’s advantage is obvious. Learn from axle fatigue test equipment abroad, especially the dynamic fatigue test rig of full size axles, and propose this test rig as prototype for the new test rig. And the test system is introduced simply. Expound the principle of the dynamic amplification of the fatigue test rig through the harmonic response analysis in the ANSYS. And its power amplification principle by a simple experiment is validated. Finally, by studying the accelerated fatigue test methods in other fields, strengthening load method is put forward, and edit the acceleration of axle load spectrum method can be used for fatigue test method.Dynamic axle fatigue test system is based on the principle of the dynamic amplification of research, as well as to the axle accelerated fatigue test method, which to our country’s advanced axle fatigue test system development has important significance.
