With the rapid development of economy, Beijing’s spatial structure, population structure,economic structure, employment structure and so on are all in the fierce changes, the scatteredintensity of population and industries to the suburbs gradually increased, but the industry andresidence suburbanization is not synchronous, resulting in the separation of residence and jobhave become increasingly prominent, and the distance between the urban residential andemployment spatial continued to increase, which brought a series of city problems such astraffic congestion, private cars increased, the whole city environment and noise pollution andmany other problems.This paper summarized and analyzed the research results both domestic and foreign onthe relationship between residential and employment balance, thought and referenced theabroad study experience, established the model of the relationship on jobs-housing balancethat suitable for the development of Chinese cities, and in the light of the specific situation inBeijing City, made deep research about the relationship on jobs-housing balance, which hasvery important realistic meaning for city planning and construction in Beijing City in thefuture.The main contents of this thesis include the following points: first, summarized andanalyzed the development course and present situation of research findings at home andabroad; secondly, established the city residential and employment location selection modelsusing the mixed logit model; third, do not consider the selection order of city residence andemployment location models were established, and on this basis, taking into account thechronological order that the residents in the choice of residence and employment locations,established a city residence and employment locations model based on the selection sequencehypothesis, and then made comparative analysis on the two models mentioned above; fourth,in consideration of the synchronization of part of residents in the selection of residence andemployment, established joint location model of city residence and employment; fifth,sensitivity analysis was carried out according to the main influencing factors of model, andput forward the concrete optimization direction of city traffic system and relevant policyrecommendations; finally, considering different people in the choice order of residence andemployment is potential difference, tried using the latent class model to establish cityresidence and employment location model.
