With the development of our country in recent years,the rapid development ofeconomy and the western development, china has accelerated the pace of airportconstruction. But there are so many lofty mountains and steep hills in western area,airport construction in complicated geological conditions, the general issue are highwaves, high earthquake intensity, high fill etc. There are many problems inengineering construction, need to do some special researches, this paper takes SuiningAirport as an example, The main research is "the stability of the high embankmentslope", construction on the other airport also has great guiding significance, the mainconclusions are as follows:According to the geological prototype analysis of slope instability mode mainlyhas the following three kinds of circumstances:one is the instability of filling bodyitself, the second is filling body along the quaternary overburden for instability, thethird is filling body cut through layer along the base covering for overall instability.Slope toe with local instability may be associated with stress of high filling body itselfor weak parts cut out.FLAC3D is mainly from the stress、strain and the displacement to analysis theslope stability in comprehensive. In this paper FLAC3D numerical simulation foundthat high fill slope deformation are mainly composed of vertical deformation, lateraldisplacement is complementary, the vertical deformation of soil to pull out of thespace for lateral deformation; Shear strain is concentrated in the filling body andquaternary overburden interface, because of the low strength of silty clay andthickness is big at the bottom of the trough valley area, shear deformation has thetrend to quaternary overburden depth, finally out of the front.Using the limit equilibrium method for slope stability analysis of the study areain natural conditions are unstable~stable as a whole of the typical profiles, under therainstorm condition is unstable~is not stable; One of the most dangerous slidingsurface are filling body cut through quaternary cover from the front. Using the limit equilibrium method obtained stability factor under natural andheavy rain conditions for the potential slip surface of chapter four, in a stable state asa whole, slope overall instability is not happens. Found that shear strain concentrationarea is not necessarily the sliding surface of slope, the stability of slope is alsoaffected by terrain.Aiming at the unstable slope in this paper segment replacement, dynamiccompaction foundation treatment method of replacement, gravel pile, therecommended method can meet the engineering requirements of foundation treatment.
