Corrosion of metal material is a commonly chemical reaction phenomena happened inthe storage and used process. General estimates that every year in the world, the weight ofmetal products cannot use by corrosion, equivalent to a quarter to a third of the annual output,not to mention the loss of metal structure damage due to corrosion for the value of the metalstructure is much greater than the metal itself. In these losses, if we can make full use ofexisting knowledge to corrosion protection, then nearly a quarter are completely avoidable.Therefore, corrosion and protection of theoretical and experimental research is of greatpractical significance.Electrochemical protection is one of the important methods of metal corrosion protection.Its principle is to use external current to vary the metal potential to slow or inhibit corrosion.Electrochemical protection can be divided into two methods i.e. Electrochemical Anodicprotection and Electrochemical Cathodic protection. Anodic protection is mainly used for themetal that can be electrochemically passivated. Implementing metal anode protection mustuse a dedicated power supply-constant potential instrument-Potentiostat. Since thePotentiostats are designed for electrochemical protection of generic products, passivatingprocess artificial control of the passivation characteristic curve of different metals and someparameter choice are essential which is difficult for many enterprises to achieve a betterprotection for the lack of professional and technical personnel.In this paper,using the nature that titanium metal can be passivated, providingelectrochemical corrosion protection to titanium evaporators which used in aluminum sulfateindustry. This paper puts forward a new design of anode protection rectifers, including itsmain circuit, control circuit and the software design and the screens of touch-screen whichrealize man-machine exchange. Under the premise of meeting or exceeding the technicalperformance of traditional potentiostat, the main circuit of this paper using AC choppertechnology to realize functions of voltage regulation, voltage constantion, constant current. Itsadjusting is more exacted, and it’s cost-effective. The harmonic pollution of the new design ismuch lower than the traditional thyristor circuit. Control circuit using a microcomputer torealize functions of self-checking after turning on, passivation causing, passivationmaintaining, Automatically output constant current or constant voltage according to actualneeds. Without intervention of technical personnel, it can also achieve even a better protectedeffect.
