The Beta grafted Red Globe Grape seedlings is the most widely cultivated variety of the grape in open and protected field of the northwest area of China. But the vast majority of that is planted under the saline-alkali soil of arid and semi-arid conditions, which seriously impact on the growth and survival rate of Beta Grafted Red Globe Grape Seedlings. This research used pot experiment method, discussed the effects of different concentration (0.2%,0.4%,0.6%,0.8%) of NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3and NaHCO3on growth, physiological indexes and disease resistance in one-year Beta grafted Red Globe Grape seedlings cultivated in two kinds of substrate culture, which one is mixed by vermiculite and sand, another one is mixed by sand and turf soil. The results showed that:1. In two kinds of substrate culture, with the concentration of NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3and NaHCO3increased, the relative growth of shoots were significantly restricted in Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings, the salt damage index of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings gradually increased. The restricted effect of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by sand and turf soil is more significant than cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by vermiculite and sand. The salt damage index of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings, which cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by sand and turf soil is larger than cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by vermiculite and sand.2. In two kinds of substrate culture, the relative conductivity rate, MDA content, free Proline content, and soluble protein content in leaves of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings all increased as the concentration of NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3and NaHCO3increased and the time of salt stress prolonged. And the results of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by sand and turf soil is higher than cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by vermiculite and sand.3. In two kinds of substrate culture, the SOD activity and POD activity in leaves of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings all increased at first and then decreased, and the CAT activity in leaves of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings gradually decreased, as the concentration of NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3and NaHCO3increased and the time of salt stress prolonged. And the change range of results in Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings leaves cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by sand and turf soil is higher than cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by vermiculite and sand.4. In two kinds of substrate culture, the disease index in leaves of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings to Botrytis cinerea and Sphaceloma ampeliman increased as the concentration of NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3and NaHCO3increased. And the disease index in leaves of Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by sand and turf soil is higher than cultivated in the substrate culture mixed by vermiculite and sand.5. Effects of high concentration(above0.4%) of NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3and NaHCO3stress were larger than the effects of low concentration(0.2%) of NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3and NaHCO3stress on growth, physiological indexes and disease resistance in Beta grafted Red Globe grape seedlings.
