As a tractor carrying components and steering axle, axle supports the weight oftractors and passesl loads to the whees. The steering and lateral force roled in thewheel is transmitted to the frame and body of the vehicle suspension through the axle.Therefore, the performance of former bridge structure has a direct impact to the safetyand reliability of the tractor.The modeling of the front axle structure was made by the finite element analysissoftware. Firstly the finite element analysis model is established and then finiteelement should be caculated to identify hazardous parts, secondly the strength andstiffness of numerical analysis will be made, at last the strength and stiffness of thesimulation results must be given. According to the results of simulation and actual test,the advice of improvement of the structure needed to be given. Under the condition ofthe security and reliability, the driving axle size, the driving axle weight and the costsshould be reduced. The main contents include:Based on the load conditions, mechanical condition, the structural characteristicsof the804G tractor front axle, static strength analysis should be made.According to the structural characteristics and working conditions of the tractorfront axle, the structure of main parts of the former bridge may be simplified under thepermitting of calculation of accuracy the extent. Through software of ansys finiteelement analysis, the three-dimensional model of the tractor front axle will beestablished. Then the force and constraint of the front axle should be simulated. Areasonable method of cell types and meshing must be selected, and then finite elementanalysis model will be established by analyzing the type and restriction reasonableconditions of constraint.The static performance of the model should be analysised. The stress, strain,displacement of, analysis of the structure will be calculated. The reliability of theresults must be analysised, according to the results, weak links of the structure may be analysised. And the results of the analysis may be as the basis for structuralimprovement. According to the test data, and the finite element analysis, the front axleis optimized after the static stress and the strain of the front axle test.
