In order to obtain the global artery casting mould of animal head and brain, the experimental method of casting mould for the head and brain of adult Ovine and Tibetan sheep is established in this paper, and the obtained moulds are analysed and investigated in detail. The method of gross anatomy as well as the combination of corrosion and Vascular cast method are carried out in order to get the anatomy observation of heads and brains from10Tibetan sheep and10Lanzhou Ovine. The results and conclusion obtained in our study as follows:1. The shape and position of the main artery vessels used in our casting moulds, and the distribution of main artery vessels in shallow layer of head and skull are presented clearly. The artery vessels used in the casting mould of head arteries is bilateral common carotid artery, lingual artery and occipital artery, and the artery vessels used in the casting mould of brain arteries are one branch of external carotid artery-maxillary artery.2. Through the combination of corrosion and Vascular cast method, the distribution of main arteries in the surface and meson of the brain are investigated.3. The method of the ABS casting mould for the he brain and head arteries are firstly established. The perfect, intact casting mould of head and brain vessel of Ovine and Tibetan sheep were obtained. The keys of the method include the priming of29%ABS organic solution, whole head corrosion using corrosive liquid, and carrion cleaning.4. Through the investigation to the casting mould of the brain and head arteries, the courses of the brain and head arteries are presented, the distribution dendrogram of them is presented, the distribution characteristics of the arteries mentioned above, especially the arteries supplying brain, tongue, nose and eyes are observed. The establishment of the method of casting mould of brain and head arteries provides a new way to the study of brain arteries from animal and human. The appearance of the distribution dendrogram of brain and head arteries from Tibetan sheep and Ovine and the observation of the characteristics of the arteries supply new data for the study of the cerebral artery.
