This study estimated biomass of forest vegetation in Jiangle, Fujian Province, through the biomass transfer factor continuous function. Under3S techniques, ETM+remote sensing images of2001and2010were analyzed, and vegetation indexes and terrain factors could be obtained. We treated vegetation indexes and terrain factors as independent variables and measured biomass as dependent variable, and then regression model could be established based on step regression. After evaluated the accuracy of the model, the selected model of forest vegetation biomass was B=393.53NDVI+1.347SAVI-3.194tm4. Using this model can be worked out, the2010forest biomass of Jiangle was155.844t/hm2, and the2001biomass of forest was136.99t/hm2.Forest biomass distribution in2001and2010could be calculated from the model, spatio-temporal analysis of the forest biomass distribution in the study area would reflect the impact of the reform of collective forest right system on forest carbon stocks and forest productivity, and at the same time, the results of forest tenure reform could be evaluated in this region through monitoring forest biomass. The main results of this study are as followed. Pre-processing of remote sensing images is a key part of the study; stronger liner relationships showed between forest tree biomass and NDVI, SAVI or tm4of ETM+remote sensing image. Overall, forest tree biomass increases with time and mainly concentrates on the gentler slopes of the mid-elevation areas. Through analyzing the biomass, household property has played an active role in ecological environment, economic and society with the development of reform.
