From July2010to August2011, an experiment was conducted in Hei Lihe of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hexigten Banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Song Mountain of Beijing, Taiyue Mountain Forest Region of Shanxi Province, Huo Ditang Forest Region of Shaanxi Province, Dong Mountain Forest Region of Qinghai Province and Qian Mountain of Liaoning Province to understand the inter-and intra-specific functional traits in nature pinus tabulaeformis carr and relationship between soil nutrient factor and plant functional trait, and the conclutions is following:(1) LDMC of broad-leaf trees, shrubs and grasses on the whole was negatively correlated to SLA and LNC, and LNC was significantly and positively correlated to SLA, LPC and N:P, and LPC was significantly and negatively correlated to N:P.(2) LDMC of broad-leaf trees or shrubs was significantly greater than LDMC of grasses, so LDMC was the best functional traits that reflected the difference between broad-leaf trees and grasses and between shrubs and grasses.(3) Under the temperature gradient, LDMC, SLA and LNC were the best functional traits that reflect the difference of communities. And under the precipitation gradient, SLA was the best functional trait that reflect the difference of communities.(4) The variation of the relationship among each functional trait of Pinus tabulaeformis was as well as the variation of the broad-leaf trees, shrubs and grasses’(except SLA). (5) The relationship between soil nutrient factors and leaf nutrient traits were not significant.
