Magnolia wufengensis L. Y. Ma et L. R.Wang is a new species of Magnoliaceae, whith was found by professor Ma Luyi and Wang Luorong in the year of2006at Hubei province Wufeng county. Magnolia wufengensis is a beautiful kind of tree, with grace and tall crown, diversity flowertypes and pure red flower color,with great value in scientific theoryresearch and practical application. Due to narrow geographical distribution area, scarcein dividuals, M. wufengensis is an endangered species and need urgen tintroduction protection.In this research we first introduction M. wufengensis to Beijing, and found that winter is the major factor restricted M. wufengensis inroduction to Beijing.This article studied on the limiting factors and winterprotection Methods of M. Wufengensis after introduction to Beijing, and laying the foundation for the introduction of M. wufengensis in Beijing. Research conclusions are as follows:1, Winter injury was the main obstacle to the growth of M. wufengensis in Beijing.The limit factors can divided into the external environment factors and internal physiological factors. In the external environment factors, winter hypothermia and long time continue the absolute temperature in Beijing is the main factors. In the physical conditions, low lignification and sluggish dormancy phenologyis the main restrict factors.2, By adopting different physical protection measures and physical protection measures (K fertilizer) found:the physical protection measures of the heeling in temporary planting has a good heat preservation effect, and its winter protection ability of M. wufengensis is good; Thermal tent can improve the low temperature in the tent, and can effectively reduce the cold injury level of M. wufengensis; the windbreak can effectively reduce the wind speed, but for temperature protective effect is weak, and disabled to improve the temperature, have no significant protective effect to M. wufengensis; heat insulation cotton have no improve effect to the low temperature, but increase the temperature in daytime, and increase the cold injury of M. wufengensis. K fertilizer in fall can significantly improve the degree of xylem, and greatly improve the M. wufengensis’wintering survival rate.
