With the development of agriculture in china, the application of rotative cultivatorcontinues to increase, and the work efficiency of rotative cultivator are also required toincrease. The gear box is the key component of rotative cultivator, so the performance of thegear box can impact on the rotative cultivator immediately. In this paper, the1BX-3-rotativecultivator is the main research object.With the help of Pro/E software,a3-D modelingsoftware,the3-D model of the main components of the gear-box are created, assembled andthen simulate the dynamics of the drive organization.To verify the reliability of the design,finite element analysis is conducted in accordance with the actual conditions in Ansyssoftware. Then, using the optimize toolbox of Matlab software, the gear box was optimumdesigned.The dissertation consists of the following contents and results:(1) To get the basic parameters of the size, the gear box of the1BX-3-rotative cultivatorshould be measured and calculated. Basing on the paramemeters,draw every3-D geometric partmodel of the rotative cultivator by Pro/E,and the build the3-D assembly model of the driveorganization of rotative cultivator.(2) Combining Pro/E and ANSYS,the material behavior of the gear is defined, thenmesh the model,load the gear with restraint and load,and finally cacullate the finite elementanalysis by ANSYS software.(3)Caculating the contact stress of the gear,using Hertz contact theory and conditionalmethod.And compared with the numerical solution of finit element analysis by ANSYSsoftware,the rationality of the gear design and the reliability of finite element analysis isverified.(4)The constrained model analysis of the output shaft is caculated,the main vibration ofthe shaft is bending vibration,torsional vibration,axial vibration and inflation. And getthe first-ten-step vibration of model,the results are much higher than the natural frequency ofthe shaft vibration frequency,it will not cause resonance.(5) To meet the movement of the gear, the size of the gear design process and ratedcarrying capacity conditions,we considered the minimum volume as target function andestablished the mathematical model.The resulte was calculated by Matlab GA optimization Toolbox,and got the optimization parameters.
