In this dissertation, the breeding biology of Epinephelus coioides were focused, the mainlyareas were follows: effects of low salinity and low temperature stress on the survival andanti-stress enzymes of Epinephelus coioides juveniles; acute toxicity of copper sulfate andformalin to Epinephelus coioides as well as the contrasting feeding results of the two compoundfeed and the research of artificial breeding cultivating technology was developed on this basis.The mainly research results were as follows:We discuss the effects of salinity and temperature to Epinephelus coioides juveniles byadopting the method of reducing grads step by step, it indicated that the survival of Epinepheluscoioides was100%within48h when the salinity scope was13~34and the survival was97.1%within48h when the salinity was6, the juvenile wound be dead when the salinity was0, theeffects of salinity variation on Na+/K+-ATPase in gills and anti-stress enzyme in liver ofEpinephelus coioides was remarkable; the survival of Epinephelus coioides juvenile within48hwas100%when the temperature scope was16~32℃and88.9%when the temperature was12℃,the juvenile wound be dead when it was8℃, the effects of temperature variation on anti-stressenzyme in liver of Epinephelus coioides was remarkable, but the activity variation ofNa+/K+-ATPase wasn’t remarkable.The compound feed had many advantages, such as comprehensive nutrition and balancedmatch, it was widely used in aquaculture. In this research, we choosed “Haikang” feed developedby ourselves to compare with “Riqing” feed from Japan to do the contrasting feed test whichindicated that “Riqing” feed was better than “Haikang” feed in the respect of length increase andfeed coefficient, but in the respect of weigh increase, condition factors and oxidation resistanceability of liver,“Haikang” feed had the certain advantage.From September2010to November2011, we had done artificial breeding cultivating test ofEpinephelus coioides for four times. On condition that the water temperature was25.0~29.4℃,the salinity was33.6~34, PH value was8.0~8.1, dissolved oxygen was no less than6mg/L, thequality of juvenile we had cultivated was843thousand with body length38.2mm by taking themeasures, such as choosing appropriate season, improving bait series, controlling water qualityreasonably, preventing disease effectively and dealing with critical period and so on, the averagehatching rate was83.5%and the average survival rate was11.2%, the highest survival rate was24.7%among the four times, the test had got initial success.
