Ten microsatellite loci were used in the experiment to analysis the genetic diversity of Bashibai sheep in Xin jiang. Polymorphism information content, heterozygosity, Nei’s genetic distance, cluster analysis and F-statistics were calculated for analysis the genetic structure of the four sheep strains, and the correlation between genetic markers. The body measure traits were analyzed using general linear model(GLM), predicted Bashibai sheep growth traits by genetic polymorphism of microsatellite DNA. The results are as follows:1、110allelies were got in10microsatellite locus, and the average allele number was11,which showed that the polymorphologic of the10loci is abundant in the4populations.2、The genetic polymorphism of the four sheep groups was detected. Among all the locus, He and PIC were higher, all were above0.5. The average PIC of red hair strain, black hair strain, white hair strain and new lean strain was0.7926,0.7690,0.7721and0.8320, and the average He was0.8174,0.7985,0.7921and0.8468, which showed that the genetic xariations is abundant and the4populations of Bashibai sheep have plenty of genetic diversities.3、The global heterozygote deficit across all populations was-0.1782. The overall significant deficit of heterozygotes because of inbreeding within breeds was-0.2112. The coefficient of genetic differentiation was0.0237. It was indicated that2.37%of the total genetic variation could be explained by breed differences and remaining97.63%by differences among individuals for each population. The average gene flow was8.9167. The cluster analysis showed that the genetic relationship between red hair strain and black hair strain was nearer, and then got together with white hair strain, and at last got together with new lean sheep. The cluster analysis was generally in accordance with their breeding history.4、From the analysis of correlation between microsatellite loci and body measure traits and then make multi-comparion in different genotypes, which were significant difference, results indicated that the allele I has positive correlation with body length, chest girth, tibia girth, body weight, that allele A has negative correlation with body length, chest girth, tibia girth, body weight at BM143loci; that the allele G has positive correlation with body length, genotype DF has negative correlation with body length at BM415loci; that the allele D has negative correlation with body height at OARJMP8; that genotype CD has positive correlation with body length, body height, chest girth, tibia girth, body weight at BL1038loci; that genotype CD has positive correlation with body length, chest girth, body weight, and BH has negative correlation with body length in black hair strain at OARHH35loci; that genotype AC has positive correlation with body length, chest girth, tibia girth, body weight, and allele F has positive correlation with tibia girth in red hair strain at ILSTS018loci; that genotype DG BI has positive correlation with body length, chest girth, and genotype EJ has negative correlation with body length, chest girth in red hair strain at BM4311loci; that allele F has positive correlation with body height, body length, chest girth, tibia girth, body weight, and allele D has negative correlation in red hair strain at BMS648loci.
