222 month-old female individuals from five sheep breeds, including Suffolk sheep, Texel sheep, Dorset sheep, German Merino and White Suffolk sheep were used as research population. The micro-satellite marker technology was applied to detect genetic diversity at eight micro-satellite locus in five sheep breeds, and weight, 10 measuremnet as sheep growth traits removal index. The correlation between genetic marker and body measure traits were analyzed using general linear model(GLM), predicted sheep growth traits by genetic polymorphism of micro-satellite DNA.1,The eight micro-satellite locus were detected and got specific amplified products at every loci. 83 allelic were got in all locus and average allelic number was 10.4. The effective allele number(Ne) which was the most one was 12 at CSSM66 in Dorset sheep. The Ne which was the least one was 5 at IDVGA46 in Germany merino sheep.2,The genetic polymorphism of the five sheep breeds were detected using eight micro-satellite DNA marker. Among all the locus, Ne, He and PIC of CSSM66 and OARJMP8 were higher than other locus, that of OARHH35 and IDVGA46 in five sheep breeds was lower than other locus. As Na were more than 5 and Ne were more than 2 and PIC were more than 0.5 at 8 micro-satellite locus in five sheep breeds, there was genetic polymorphisms at 8 micro-satellite locus in five sheep breeds. Five sheep breeds was not in Hardy-Weinberg equilibration at 8 micro-satellite locus by chi-square test.3,From analysis of correlation between genotypes of 8 micro-satellite locus and weight, of 5 sheep breeds, results indicated that the allele D had positive correlation with body heigh, body longth, waist corner width, chest depth, chest girth traits at BM1824 loci, that allele E had positive correlation with body weight, body heigh, body longth, waist corner width traits and had negative correlation with leg heigh trait in ETH225 loci, that allele C, D had positive correlation with body longth, chest depth, chest width traits in ETH152 loci, that allele A had positive correlation with body heigh, body longth, chest girth traits and allele C had negative correlation with leg heigh trait in IDVGA46 loci, and that allele A had positive correlation with body weight, body longth and allele B had positive correlation with body longth, waist corner width, chest width, chest girth traits and allele H had negative correlation with the body measurement traits in BMS648 loci, that allele B, E had positive correlation with body longth, waist corner width, chest depth, chest width, chest girth traits in OARJMP8 loci, that allele E, F had positive correlation with body heigh, body longth, waist corner width, waist depth, chest girth traits and allele F had positive correlation with body weight and had negative correlation with leg heigh in OARHH35 loci, that allele C, E had positive correlation with body heigh, body longth, chest width, chest girth traits in CSSM66 loci.
