Chinese white pine bark beetle (Dendroctonus armandi Tsai and Li) is the most important pest of healthy Chinese white pine (Pinus armandi Franch), which threatens the safe of forest ecosystem of our country seriously and caused a loss to our economic. The whole selection process of bark beetles to their host pine, included diffusion, selection, orientation and reproduction all depend on the synthetic action of the secondary chemicals of host or non-host pine and beetles released. So it is important to invasion and proliferation mechanisms of D. armandi to have a research of chemicals in digestive get biological activity, and also can provide theory to sustainable control of D. armandi. In our research, the technique of GC-MS was used to explore the semichemical in the hindguts of D. armandi, the technique of EAG and wind tunnel was further to be used on the bioactivity and physiological activity to D. armandi. The most substances from phloem of healthy Chinese white pine and fresh frass of Chinese white pine beetle were sesquitertene, and then were monoterpene, but diterpene wasn’t detected in frass and phloem. There was significant difference both in constituents and contents between beetle adults frass and trees phloem. The content of monoterpene was much more but the sesquitertene was less in frass of Chinese white pine beetle than phloem of healthy Chinese white pine. There were45and41substances in frass of male and female D. armandi respectively, both of which were mainly sesquitertene and monoterpene and take over above90%of integral dose. The percentage composition of sesquitertene and monoterpene were26.05%、70.17%and17.97%、73.67%in male and female respectively, some difference existed both in composition and substance types. The results of EAG of D. armandi to the4chemicals showed different response. The responses to (ls)-(-)-verbenon and (S)-cis-verbenol were more intense and the response increased with concentration upping. But the responses to ethyl oleate and ethyl linoleatethe were very weak when compared with the other chemicals and their response did not show obvious regularity with the increase of chemical concentration. The response to (S)-cis-verbenol was more intensity than (ls)-(-)-verbenone and there was more obvious gap between male and female in (S)-cis-verbenol. When the concentration gotl μg/μL, the two chemicals could both evoke significant difference response between male and female P<0.01, and the female showed higher response; also between different concentrations both sexes showed significant difference except at concentration of in male adult.Bioactivity of D. armandi to four chemicals from beetles’digestive test expressed different reactions. Under pre-established concentrations (lOμg/μL and100μg/μL),(S)-cis-verbenol evoked D. armandi positive reaction(aggregation) and negative reaction(anti-aggregation) of (ls)-(-)-verbenone; the percent of taxis response to ethylole and ethyl linoleatethe were near zero indicated that no bioactivity of these two chemicals. Response of female D. armandi to (S)-cis-verbenol and (ls)-(-)-verbenone were stronger than male under two concentrations. There is significant different between two sexes under the same concentrations and also significant different between two concentrations under the same sex; but to (S)-cis-verbenol, there was no significant different weather between sexes or concentrations.
